Surface Preparation - Fiberglass
Pretreatment for Fiberglass
Adequate protective equipment and clothing such as rubber gloves and protective eyewear are recommended
If the Fiberglass has been previously painted, ensure finish is in good condition. If paint problems exist remove the old finish before re-painting.
Treat new fiberglass surfaces with a thorough solvent wash to remove all traces of paraffin and release agents. Scrub the surface with a solvent saturated scrub and then wipe clean. Scuff sand the cleaned surface with 180-220 grit sandpaper before priming.
